Melting at Mosgiel

Wow! It’s a hot and windy day here at Wingatui, near Mosgiel, near Dunedin. It was warm enough last night. And today at 2pm it’s 31 degrees inside and 31 degrees outside. It was blimmin’ hot for gardening yesterday, including carrying 1.3m of mulch in and spreading it on the garden – as we slowly melted. However, it got the job done and looks good, and if any weeds dare show their little heads …. Today has been catching up with friends and trying to keep cool. And trying to finish my library book so it can go back. And avoiding the pile of paperwork. It looks like summer has definitely arrived in Dunedin.
