Heading south

It didn’t take long for Super Signs to finish the decals. And then that was it – all finished in Pukekohe. So we headed out of town – across to Bombay, and onto SH1 heading south.  Yahoo.  We’ve got to like Pukekohe, but it’d been two weeks since we arrived, and time to get going. It was a lovely evening. We bypassed Hamilton, and stopped at the Countdown in Cambridge for supplies.  We decided Tokoroa looked like a spot to stop, so we headed on to the Cosmopolitan Club there, and parked up in their car park. The club members were very friendly and helpful. Their car park is beside a lovely little lake/dam thing.  We nipped across the road to the fish and chip shop for tea at 8.30pm.  There was a bit of traffic around, but we had a good night, spoiled only by me having to get up to sort the darned toilet out 🙁

It is a lovely morning here in Tokoroa beside the lake and park. We hope to have time for a quick walk before heading south. The plan for today is to visit Wyn’s sister in Fielding and then catch up with her brother in Marton where we’ll probably spend the night.
