Omokoroa Part 2

Tauranga HarbourJust when I thought we were away from the Bay of Plenty, I remembered one more day – our last. We were still at Omokoroa, just north of Tauranga. It was a lovely calm dawn and there’s nothing more lovely than a calm dawn at Omokoroa. It’s on a headland in/on the Tauranga Harbour. A vehicle ferry goes from there over to Matakana Island. and there’s nice walks around the headland. We headed off for one last walk to enjoy the day.

Eventually, and after lunch, we finally headed away. North to Waihi and the best little cafe, The BananaPepper. We always feel the need to check that it is still as best as ever. It was a sunny afternoon and crowded inside and a pleasure to sit outside on the street. Even more eventually we dragged ourselves away, and on west and north towards Thames.
