It was just last week that we were at Elaine Bay in Marlborough Sounds, down towards French Pass. After a rough couple of days the sun came out. Which made all the difference. And gradually the wind died down, which was another good difference. On our previous visit we’d stumbled upon the Archer Track, a delightful track from Elaine Bay around to Tennyson Inlet. That time we’d gone as far as Little Deep Bay hut and we decided the 3-hour walk there and back would be good for us again.
So we set out and walked there and back (Friday of last week). The views and vistas are still stunning and the track is a delight.
