We finished another house sitting gig yesterday near Mosgiel, and moved out in the rain. We were heading for our usual hanging-out place just out of Mosgiel, in the gathering gloom. The rain had been persistent all day, and we got close enough to our destination to see floodwaters flowing out of the entrance. We realised we needed a Plan B, and spent the night in a car park in Mosgiel.
This was a trip down memory lane. We’ve slept in many car parks around New Zealand, with varying degrees of ambience. We realise that many people find this unusual, but we just felt nostalgic. It was nice in Mosgiel this morning with the sun shining and the birds singing. And just a short walk to my bus to work.
The housesitting was pleasant, with a lovely outlook from up the hill nearby. The spring flowers and blossoms were flowering and blossoming well.
The view towards the north was just right for the rising sun. The following were a couple of lovely variations.
The view was north towards Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula. We didn’t get tired of it.
What a fabulous view from the house. Lovely pics again as usual
It sure was Gay. We’ve been lucky with our house sitting and have enjoyed quite a few lovely parts of this lovely city.
